How To Root Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T217S Without PC

If you do own a SM-T217S and are looking for a way to root it, you can simply follow the guide below to get started.

  1. You must Enable “unknown sources” option. Go to Settings => security => enable unknown sources.
  2. Download and Install it towelroot.apk
  3. Now launch Towelroot app
  4. Tap on “Make it Rain” option
    towelroot
  5. Reboots your phone.
  6. You’re not fully rooted at the moment, you must download and install SuperSU apk or download from Google Play Store. Update the SU Binary if prompted:
    SuperSU-update-su-binary

The app is gives root access for the device before the kernal date of June 3, 2014. Check the kernal date on Settings > About. If your device is not have the on or before the date of June 3, you won’t get the root access.

That’s it. You now have full root access on your Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T217S. Enjoy your rooted device.
